SWTAFE pathways are available in a range of study areas, meeting the needs of many courses and career directions.

Pathway to Deakin University

The South West TAFE and Deakin University partnership recognises the importance of local education. It enables you to continue your studies in the region, staying where you have your support, and gaining local insight.This partnership provides our Diploma and Advanced Diploma students with a pathway to reach their dream career.

Those who graduate from selected courses at SWTAFE will be given the opportunity to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (credits) for a selected Deakin University course. There are also guaranteed entry options for some pathways (providing that you successfully complete your course and thus meet Deakin's academic and English entry requirements, that there are vacancies in the course).

You may receive credits when you study a Diploma or Advanced Diploma course at SWTAFE in the following fields:

• Accounting
• Children's Services
• Community Services
• Conservation & Land Management
• Massage
• Nursing
• Travel & Tourism
