Free TAFE

Free TAFE for Priority Courses will reduce the financial barrier for students wanting to train in courses that lead to jobs in demand.

Free TAFE is a Victorian Government program that covers tuition fees for priority courses for students who are eligible for government-subsidised training. There may still be some costs like course materials, uniform or excursions applicable to the course you select.

Plus you may be eligible to complete multiple subsidised courses within the same pathway through the Free TAFE Pathways Program.

Who is eligible for Free TAFE courses?

Any student that is eligible for government-subsidised training in Victoria can access one tuition fee free place in a Free TAFE course. Visit our Free TAFE frequently asked questions to find out more.

You may be eligible for an additional tuition fee free place if this was previously accessed via JobTrainer or if the course is part of the Free TAFE Pathways Program.
